I ran out of room on my old 16GB card on my old Mystic Pi BBS and started cleaning it up and realized I had two large programs of little use:
wolfram and libreoffice. If you use libreoffice for Documents when it
would be OK to keep. If your just running a BBS (especially remotely)
then these programs serve no purpose for the BBS and are best deleted
as they won't be run. The normal way to delete them is in a shell:

    sudo apt-get purge wolfram-engine
    sudo apt-get clean ; sudo apt-get autoremove

    sudo apt-get remove --purge libreoffice*
    sudo apt-get clean ; sudo apt-get autoremove

It freed up over 2G of room when I did that. We might look for other
programs that serve no purpose, but these were the biggest two.

...It's as useless as can be

For a BBS system, a minimal installation of Raspbian is enough, specially if you use Mystic. Any other package that may need in the future, can be easily installed.

If i remember correct a minimal installation, takes up to 1GB, not more. When
i got my RPi0, i was testing it with a 2GB sdcard and that minimal
    installation image :)

That raspbian install sounds like a desktop setup?

Openoffice and such things are nice but would only be needed by an install including a DE. If I was to run raspbian (I will one day!) I would just use a basic install unless I intended to use it for a desktop type of setup.

    Ttyl :-),
    Al
