Hey all...
I saw on the wiki that you can have a file display when you join a filegroup or a message group, and you would just name the file
FGROUP#.XXX or GROUP#.XXX, where the "#" is the number of the group, and the .XXX can be .ANS or a .ASC file. I created one for my filegroup 7,
and it doesn't display.
The file is in the text directory, and the filename is all lowercase. But when I join the file group, nothing displays. Any one else using this feature?
Any thoughts?
First on Linux the group#.ans pr fgroup#.ans has to be lower case, Windows it shouldn't matter (but try all caps if not working). Second you need a pipecodePA or it will just flash by. That's the Mysic pause pipecode. Putting it in isn't always easy as it depends how fancy the ANSI is but ANSI editors should be able to do it. If you do the whole thing as Mystic pipecodes (no ANSI) you can also name it as .asc and it should work fine.
* KB2MOB figured it out and said so, but I left my post to help anyone questioning this or wondering what was wrong.
