• Double-Up python ERROR

From Smooth@21:2/110 to Gryphon on Friday, March 22, 2019 12:00:02
I'm forwarding this to Gryphon but if anyone else has run across this error
and have found a way to fix it, it would greatly be appreciated. Hawk installed this door on ACiD Underworld which is on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B.
It was working for a while but started to error on the Double-Up game at the very beginning when it initializes the game. We can see it on the top
between the gaps of the blocked off game areas.

    The error that displays:

This Python has API version 1013 module __mysticerror__ has version
    2125464565A

screen capture can be seen here:
    https://prntscr.com/n1kja5

Our python 2.7 install upgraded to 2.7.13. Hawk's version was rolled back
and compiled for 2.7.9 which the game was originally built on but it still gives the same error. The game still runs after displaying the error. A person can still play the game. It seems to generate a score for the player that had a session with the game and also posts to the Interbbs Data
echo. However, when other bbses receive the score data for any game played on
a system that's getting this error the score data must be currupted as it doesn't display the correct score for that user on receiving bbses. Instead
it displays a score of 1. Hope this is an easy fix as this is one of the
most fun and addictive games that wasn't made in the 90s. hehe

The only part of the app that uses python is the ibbs.mpy portion. All it
does is read data from the message bases. This leads me to believe that this
is an issue with the data in the messages.
Is anybody else in the network having the same problem?
Do the scores with '1' occur on any non-affected node?

It might be a good idea to scan through the message base and see if there are any wanky data entries.

The game is designed to send only the scores for the native BBS and it should not retransmit the data of other BBSes. So a bad score should not be sent around the network and break the other non-affected BBSes.
