Mystic uses /mystic/echomail/out/fidonet for whichever network you flag as >your main address.. then the other nets you carry have their own outbound .. >for instance, for me, my main address is 80:519/0 but that is retronet, but >since it is my main address Mystic 'assumes' it is fidonet. one of my AKA's >is piNet 314:314/0 and it uses /mystic/echomail/out/pinet.13a as it's outbound

Thanks. For this experiment, the network in question is my main address, so
it sounds like /fidonet it is. :)

BinkD needs a control file (CLO/FLO/HLO/DLO/?UT) It wont do anything with files in the outbound if they are not associated with one of these control files. ?LO (also known as BSO/ASO (binkly style outbound/amiga style outbound) is a pretty old format more widely used over frontdoor's netmail attachment to send it's packets

Thanks for this also. I will be sure to get the proper FLO files copied in there as part of my script also.

OK, let me start of by saying I am trying to use the mystic binkp
server with other bbs software, hence what may seem like silly questions.
    No dramas

    Thanks. :)

The following assumes that Fidonet is your primary AKA in Mystic's configuration.

    Hope this helps. :)

    Yes, it sure did. Thanks!

Not only FLO ... you need the files for other flavors too (HLO, ILO, ...)

Also why not simply specify that directory to your tosser?

Because (1) it is on a different machine, and (2) I have had little luck with figuring out which directory the files should actually go in. I am not real good with "PC hex" and, apparently, that default directory thing does not
work quite like we think it does.

LOL, after I thought about this some I realized you were sort of onto something. I figured out how to have my cake and eat it to by setting the
node up with an outbox. I can have the packets go in that directory and
not have to worry about whether I got the hex right or not. :D

    Thanks!

    Still do not understand.

Your tosser determines by itself into which directory it has to use.
So why not simply run it into the other machine then?

And the default directory thing works exactly as I think it does ...
