    Yes, this was well known and part of the reason we're using 2.7 instead of the 3.x line (that and that all of th major OSes used 2.7 as default)

    Yes, it just means that they're not going to be developing the language or bug fixing it after the year 2020. But the language is pretty heavily used and works well for the most part so its really not being changed much anyway.
