• Resend: Mystic on Pi

    From deon@21:2/116.1 to g00r00 on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 14:02:13
    Hi G00R00,

So I've just updated to A42, and I see the timezone issue still persists with me. By the look of it, it is a Pi issue, any clues?

IE: I'm posting this message, 14/Feb 00:01, but I bet it will show as 13:01.

All my logging is also with UTC, not localtime.

No I will look at it again. If I remember correctly, I checked it on my Pi
and it was working so I didn't give it much more investigation. I let this
one fall through the cracks, sorry. I've re-added it to my TODO list!

I haven't checked recently, but I know older (up to A39) versions of Mystic were using UTC on my Pi. TZ stuff is correctly set, and the system reports the correct local time.

I will get the latest Mystic on there and do some testing. I haven't made any changes to that code in quite a long time so if it was broken in A39 it'll still be broken now. I don't doubt that its broken... I just let it slip through the cracks :(

Thanks. From what I've recall, only Pi sysops (including myself) have had this issue, but I could be wrong. And yes, it has been there for a while, nothing new.

Yeah its def specific to the Pi. Maybe even specific to a certain version of the operating system, considering at one point it did work and I haven't changed anything.

Well, Raspian Wheezy certainly shows the Mystic TZ issue.

No probs, thanks! :) I'll be sure to test, when it's available.
