It worked, so I thought, so I started the BBS in daemon mode and it crashed
for a few hours and I didn't noticed til I tried to telnet in, so I re-copied the stable alphas.. I'm gonna play around with it today, since I haven't seen anybody else with the same issues I've had

Perhaps best to run MIS in the non-daemon mode for now...?

    Just a quick test.

I've done a fresh installation of Ubuntu 18 on an old laptop today and installed a fresh Mystic A42 from scratch that I am going to keep running
full time to help work out any instabilities with Linux (or Mystic in
    general).

I'm also going to completely mod the BBS without using a shell by only calling into the BBS with NetRunner and the SysOp menu. I'm letting Mystic auto create and link up all of the echomail bases too.

So far so good assuming this gets out.

Nice g00r00, this made it out! =D ... so far the new A42 seems to be working
OK under linux. I switched over to ubuntu/64 server no gui about a month
back and been working really nice.

I upgraded mine ok which was running A39 on an Ubuntu 18.04 LTS server
install in an LXC container. Everything so far is working like I never upgraded, I'm going to upgrade my tqwNet UK hub today or tomorrow, hopefully that will go just as smoothly.

    It's all gravy here sir.

Hey g00r00, I notice when using 'install replace <dir>' that mide and mplc
are not included. I don't think anything was changed since a43 with these (could be wrong) but it may be worth adding that in the future.

Yep its now in the root directory by default for a fresh install, and that is the recommended place for mplc now.

Hey g00r00, I notice when using 'install replace <dir>' that mide and
mplc are not included. I don't think anything was changed since a43 with these (could be wrong) but it may be worth adding that in the future.

I am guessing that is only because you're upgrading from a current pre-alpha, so its looking in scripts directory (which is where it would be in A43) while in A44 it won't be there because that doesn't exist anymore.

The A45 replace looks in the root directory to replace them. They won't look anywhere else that way you can make backup directory with the .exe files if
you wanted to and "replace" won't remove them.

This is test. No need to respond I am just testing a tossing function.

Due to my dubious nature and inability to follow simple instructions, this is my response.
