Hmm, OK, now I'm confuused, because you've got a complex system, but no real information on _where_ DOSemu is actually being called from (a slightly important detail ;) ). Because if DOSemu is not running on the same box as Mystic, then tweaking the environment variables before calling mis will definitely not work. :)

No, dosemu is on the same box. The system currently being telneted to is the one on a different box. :) It is being called from the matrix menu, rather than a door menu, so that could have been causing me an issue (doing
something that was not intended to work <grin>).

However, something you said got me thinking of a *third* way... having >MP> the mystic matrix call telnetd's bbs script directly, instead of using >MP> telnet or calling it as a door.
THAT seems to work! :o
