    Hi,

How would I separate message bases into groups?

    Thanks, Charlie

    Hi Charlie,

How would I separate message bases into groups?

You first create your message groups.
Then you take the ID from your message group and use the ACS feature on the message base.

For example, if you create a group with id 3 and want users with security
level 10 and up to see it, you will set the ACS to s10g3 (security level 10, group 3).

Same thing goes for files but instead of g3, you would use z3.

Hope that is clear, Avon (MysticGuy on Youtube) made a great video explaining this in details. It's also worth watching his entire collection if you have some time! Worth every minute.

    Cheers,

    Hiya,

First create some groups, for example local group is 1 and FSXnet is group 2. Then go to the message base editor and in the "List ACS" option you add g1
for a local group and g2 for a FSXnet group to the already present security flag, for example s10. Combined it could look look like s10g1 / s50g2.

This also works for file areas but instead of g you would use z.

    Gtx!
