I had this running for ages but honestly it never seemed to be active at all.

Must be timezone stuff I guess?

Your right, from memory it was only active for a short time when Gryphon
first released the mod (as you say ages ago). After it stopped having the effect or influence it never recovered it's popularity fame. Kinda sad,
because it is still a cool mod for what it does in real-time interbbs
chatting. Anyway like most things in the hobby today, they are only as active as the number of people that actually uses them. I really don't think timezone has much to do with activity of mRC or mIRC for that matter. The numbers of active people are just not up to par with what people expect too run into.. My hats of to Gryphon (and others) for pumping out so many cool mods.

I disagree on that count Skuz. For something like mRC or mIRC timezone can
make a difference when you're reliant on actual people being present to chat with vs posting to an echo or other message style board that can be checked
at leisure the next time you log in.

people expect too run into.. My hats of to Gryphon (and others) for pumping out so many cool mods.

Me too :) Actually it's made me realise I need to re-hatch a bunch of stuff
for new nodes that won't otherwise have it in their bases.

I agree that if there are 100 users active in my time zone and 100 more
active in your time zone. The chances of you crossing paths with them on interbbs chat just doubled, so I'll give you that much.. (:
