I have been noticing more and more I have a ton of 0byte file in my Echomail inbound directory from inbound messages that get tossed but this files never get deleted. Is there something turned off that is leaving them there or
should I just delete them manually like I am doing a couple of times a day? BTW this is on Mystic.. :)

I'm gonna guess that they are messages for subscribed groups that don't exist yet on your bbs or do but are assigned the wrong group number in the
    mutil.ini file?

Of course, I'm just newbie at this and not very experienced yet.

    Best regards,
    Christian

I have not been seeing this and run the same OS etc. as you. In some past
cases I have seen MIS has a lock on them so they don't get cleared after tossing. Perhaps this is happening, and if so, why to you and not I? Perhaps
we run different active servers using MIS?

It's weird, I am at a loss.. It used to be a few every few days. Now it is
like 10-20 every day.. I just go in and delete them.. I am considering just setting up a event to clear out the directory but I worry that it will run at the same time as a incoming net transfer and cause issues... Oh well...

If you script something, you could check for the existence of a semaphore and if it exists, don't delete the files... if there isn't a semaphore, delete them.

Probably an ok work around, but should find out what's causing it... I have something bugging me in mine, every time my system sends echos, in the log I get weird 3-4 messages about unavailable nodes or something, Paul said to
check for exports with deleted nodes in, and I did have some, so removed the erroneous from the exports, but it's still doing it. Gotta dig further in
    mine.

I have a neat utility called Killzero (Wins 32-bit) that would auto-clean those

for you :) http://cmech.dynip.com/killzero.exe (just switch to dir and run!)

Do you see a deleted record in the main echo node list and/or have you
checked any file bases linked to those erroneous nodes?
