• Menu item numbering

Has anybody noticed that when you create a lightbar/grid menu in mystic that you have to be very particular about whether or not you delete an entry?

I'm trying to create a new lightbar/grid menu. As I add entries, the perm ID for the each entry increases by one. If I delete an entry, then there is a
gap in the numbering of the entries. When I try to link one entry to another with the up or down key, it just doesn't go to the desired entry.

So I'm confused a bit on what is the propery value to put in the up/down/left/right key movement fields. I know when I want to go down to another entry, I use the entry's position number list and not the entry's ID number. Actually, I tried it both ways; using the position number and the
perm ID number, and I found that oly the position number works consistantly.

But no matter what I do, if there's a gap in the perm ID number, I can't get
    to the ophaned entry.

Am I the only one seeing this?

Yes, I've noticed that as well. I don't think there is a renumber for that
yet. I'm sure g00r00 could do it and it may be on a list, but living with the gap is what we're doing now ;) That will at least work, there is likely a way to do it (the proper linking), I just haven't worked it out yet which is why I'm not using lightbar menus generally. There are renumber commands for most other things now, but not that (that I know of anyway).
