• Mystic Pi and Python

    Hello Folks,

Is there anybody here who uses the Pi version of Mystic on an SBC other than
a true raspberry pi? If so, are you able to get python running in Mystic?

I'm running mystic on an odroid xu4 with ubuntu 16.04, and it all seems to
work fine, except for python. I have python 2.7.12 installed and I can run native python apps just fine. I know that the python.txt doc says to be certain to use the correct arch, and match the arch of mystic to the arch of python, ie, 32bit or 64bit. But the odroid is armv71 and the pi version of mystic is armhf. I don't know if that is a contributing factor.

Did you have to do anything special to get python working with mystic on the pi? Please advise.

    I use a Banana Pi.

I couldn't get the Python IRC client (a MPY) working, but external Python scripts like the mrcclient.py one work fine.

Ack! Ok, so now I'm concerned that Mystic will be a stickler for the exact architecture. It doesn't matter that Mystic will run on most ARM devices in linux, the version of python will also have to match Mystic's version.

    That sucks!

My error was not being able to reference a particular function, even though as far as I could tell, I had the relevant Python packages installed.
