I'm going to move to windows 32bit o/s today. Can I just do a basic install then copy over all files except for the .exe files? That shou keep my current config?
Check the wiki but yep it should be fairly painless. The main thing is
the pathing you need to revisit all the bases and the file paths. In the case of your usenet stuff you may elect to just get Mystic to auto
create bases. You need to update pathing in your ini files also.

I am in the process of doing the same thing. I am moving the BBS to a Virtual Machine running Win 7 32 bit, but what I did to make my life a bit easier,
was to move the Files areas and the Message bases to a networked drive, with mapped drives z: and y: so now when I do make the final move hopefully in the next 2 days I just have to go in re-do the config files with my network info and bbs info and map the drives and be done after copying all of the data
files over.. I ran a test run last week and it worked perfect, butlast night during my insomnia period during the night I realized my Door Servers that I call out to are not configured so I have to get that going right.. Hopefully, all will go smoothly and not disrupt the networks.
