I'll look into ConnectBot then, I suspect you could type a lot better if you used a bluetooth keyboard, but it is a pain to connect.

    Agreed, but not always convenient!

That was before I found the hidden keys that are part of ConnectBot I think, they included up, down, left, right, ESC making browsing the BBS much easier. You need to scroll down to get to CP437 and such, then when connected hit
just above the normal keypad and hidden keys will appear that can be scrolled left and right to do the functions missing in the normal keypad for Android.
Of course I'm typing this on the Pi while playing http://listen.totalfm.co.nz:8000/stream.m3u ;P

I'm sure many of you use Androids to access Mystic and possibly other
BBS. The question is what have you found that works and what version of Android is it made for? I have an old Android 2.3 version and a newer 4

I installed ConnetBot on my Samsung Galaxy Core prime phone (Android Version 5.1.1) Im able to connect fine to my Mystic board and have ANSI and CP437 chosen but the ansi is all over the place on the screen and the input prompts dont show up :( Are there some settings i need to tweak or is this just not made for my screen size?

I'm guessing the latter, the top is the normal 80x24 charactesrxlines it tries to scale and works on anything that does 1024x768 or so, but I don't think it will handle 800x600 or less from the looks. Have you tried sideways? May have to scroll the screen that way, but it might work a little. You've only got
480 x 800 pixels (~207 ppi pixel density), so no it's not made for that.
