They started a few years back, posting some of the first usenet
messages, in as you mentioned, chronological order. Interesting
little bit of history - I wish I had that level of backups for the
BBS networks I've been on!

That dog has been around a long time. I think I've seen newer versions of him holding a USB now? Was there ever a version of him holding a 3.5" disk?

It is interesting to see how the thoughts of what fidonet is and what
it could be were envisioned back then.
I remember being bored at work and reading the first couple of years
