Yes... apparently, that is the nature of these "economy" versions of the
big guns. No brick-n-mortars, no people. Just forms and robots.

August as we do a road trip for our aniversay.
If.. the biz is still there. :( I'm in a deep finacial hole right
    now.

    Everyone is. :(

Don't count me in the "everyone" category. Anyone receiving any form of
gov't funding (UI, disability, pensions, covid relief), or can still work
for a minimum wage, or have inheritances to draw upon, have it much better than me. I am effen pissed off at the banks; the best they could do in reducing my interest rates was to keep me in the double digits - and
ofcourse it's "business as usual for them" to collect. You don't wanna
know how I eat. But at this rate, I will achieve my high-school weight
    faster than I imagined.

Along the same topic, I think the whole covid+masks message is getting confusing for people. I see people wearing masks when they are the sole person in the car or the only person outside for dozens of meters around. There is so much FUD foisted out there.

Myself, I'd just pull up a sort of bandana (outlaw style) fashioned out of one of my mom's head kerchiefs. It's a little flowery to my liking, but
it at least it showed I made some sort of effort when people were around.

I recieved the pics. I do know I did in fact own one of those 100%,
and I don't have it anymore. Still hate to take credit if it was
    someone else. LOL

I thought that maybe some of the physical clues would stir up a reminder. Not even the curved arrow from the printed IMEI# to the handwritten one?

Anyway.. I remember that we *did* have a little netmail/email exchange
about an external antenna that you could probably send me that would
actually plug into the pcmcia device. The last thing I asked you was how
big it was so that I could send you a prepaid box.

I know they are screwing the small business for sure. Andrea was able
to get full time work and I get one or two shifts a week. We're able
to pay the bills but /JUST/.

I always giggle at people wearing them when they are alone.

I have a mask but as a rule I don't wear it unless when I'm working
someone requests me too. ie: sometimes the note on the computer will
say "Customer request: mask" then I take it out of my bag and put it
    on when I get there.

I'm pretty sure I gave it to you, but still not 100%. LOL Honestly I
have the memory of a goldfish. I always have and always will.

I don't want to get too political and start ranting about mask usage, but I wondered about the customer request bit -- is there a standard thing for them to check a box or something? When people don't wear masks around me, I assume it's a conscious choice, and I stay as far away from them as possible, rather than requesting mask usage.

But I'm not a confrontational person in general. Even if I want to scold all the people going the wrong way in labeled grocery store aisles (especially
the one guy wandering around, talking loudly on his cell phone).

    Free market in the works.

Ohhh now that's the one thing I want to scold people for.
The NSA gets PAID to hear peoples conversations. If I got paid even a dollar for having to hear people talking on their cell phones in public, I would probably never have to bother working.

Did the grocery store thing today & as always there are people going the
wrong way & sadly seen two old couples doing this, like over 70 easy & they didnt have mask or gloves on. Usually its males going the wrong way, but lately seems all over who doesnt care.
Even if it was NEON flashing lights showing the direction these people
would still go the wrong way. But at least the majority follow the signs

Just tell the dispatcher you want a driver in a mask. However now the
rules changed again. LOL we have plexiglass in the vehicles now so as
long as you sit in the back seat neither of us is required to wear
one. If you have mobility issues and need to sit up front, we both
wear masks and I ask you a series of questions, I then make you sign a
waiver that says you understand I could be a carrier of the virus and
not know it. etc etc etc.

Neither am I. I just go with the flow now. I used to be much much
    different.

All that seems sensible enough, so I imagine I'd appreciate it.

I think most of the difficulty with these things is when people put others at risk without their consent.

E.g., I know a person who works in a grocery store, and other people will
come up to them, and _take their masks off_ in order to better ask a question from close range.

But, regardless, your tales of your workplace are interesting.

Neither am I. I just go with the flow now. I used to be much much

Mellowed out as you got older?

For me, it's just always how I've been. Heck, it's bee odd with the pandemic, as I've gotten more judgmental -- normally I'd find reasons for why people misbehaved in traffic. I suppose I still do, but pandemic-related things?

But, eh, everyone is stressed. I imagine that causes a problem for pretty
    much everyone.

I've seen that many times as well. My wife is cleaning a walmart in
the evenings for the summer and people get right up to her ask where
    things are.

Mellowed out as you got older?

Ohhhhhhhhhh yes. I used to run HOT HOT HOT.

    Exactly.
