Ooh, multitasking!
More like single core, single thread but if you blink twice it looks like muti-thread ;-p

Have also been watching S1 of X-Files again. I feel old! They all look
so young now. hang on we all were! :)
Been working on some NET 1 HUB stats reports for connection traffic and echomail traffic. They may appear in the stats echo tomorrow my time if the darn script works ;) It's a start anyways. Next up I need to get
Watched EP5 of Falcon and Winter Soldier y/day. I am enjoying this
Marvel series and wondering now how they will wrap it all up in the
last remaining episode?
I have also implemented BBS denial and FREQ denial during
ZMH (but only for modem connections, not Internet
connections). And kicking out of users from the BBS when ZMH
starts (which sadly affects all connection types and has to
happen twice daily to cover non-DST and DST).

If you have to accomodate DST and non-DST, does that mean the
ZMH is actually TWO hours long?
Which makes me wonder -- is it even possible to deny incoming echomail transfers during (FidoNet) ZMH? As both netmails and echomails are messages indistinguishable from each other before inspecting their contents (I think)... Not that it affects fsxNet very much, though. :-)
It was designed that way in the 80's so mailers could get their stuff
done without users on the line. That was a whole different time and
place.

Ah, yes, those were the times! :-D

That's nice! I had a look at the connection stats earlier today and (thankfully) they seemed fine, i.e. no connection errors etc.
Have been working on my Mystic BBS events and poll/export scripts here,
so that polling for mail and exporting of echomail is not performed
during ZMH, but instead postponed to after ZMH (to be compliant with FidoNet's ZMH restrictions regarding echomail transfers). For the very unlikely case that such a poll or export would result in a modem call to an uplink bossnode, preventing someone else wanting to crash (net)mail from doing so. :-D

I wouldn't even worry about ZMH nowadays.

and updated what was on the outside of the house. They work well and it will make getting firewood during winter an easier task in the otherwise dark wood pile area we have.I am quite happy that we use wood chips in the meantime :-)

Fingers crossed for a "Dark Avengers" storyline... I'm not a comic
book gategeeper, it's just one of my favorite arc during the the 2009+ period and would make for great TV, I think.

My wife and i watch the serie together. I like this much more then WandaVision which was not bad, but the ending was too fuzzy and fast. Looking forward how Falcon and the Winter Soldier will end. I LOVE SEMO! What a cool guy, just like Bucky was as Winter Soldier. Really a very
cool thing!
I started with Tool Time from Tim Allen. I really really love that
Series. Tim Taylor and his Family are not just comedy but a really loo into how my kids will be in a few years :-D.
And yes, they all are sooo young *g*. Just like Tom Cruise in Top
Gun.....

Yes! I gotta say when you start seeing the old boxy CRT monitors you
know it's the 90s again :)
Nokia phones on belt clips.
still alive and kicking, been juggling work and family and a crappy winter...
hope to have some time to devote to BBS etc. in the coming week.

Summer has just started here and we are having a heat wave ATM. 41C as I write this. Some crappy winter weather sounds good just about now.
Waving hi :)
Hi right back. I hope your weather will improve.. :)
We love you, Paul... :P
fsxNet is still fun, experimental and - wait... I dunno what it stands
for anymore. :P
Take the time you need, and we're here for updates and info when you
have it! w00t w00t!
Hi there! :)
Every FTN carnival needs a good juggler... things seem just fine. No worries life comes first - wife second, you last <G>
Hahah... this is about right... I think you know more stuff than I do
:)
Summer has just started here and we are having a heat wave ATM. 41C as I

I see the reports of those hot temps, way too hot :) I hope it cools down a bit for you soon. Sorry too to learn of some fires in your country too :(
Thanks, perhaps by December it may feel like summer. Here I am short on firewood and eeking it out until payday to get some more in :)
This sounds like one of those chats you have in the lift with someone
that start out about us talking about the weather ;)
It has been very hot here, around 42C at the peak of the day. It was better today around 38C. Still warm but not so dangerous. Looking for a high of 33C tomorrow. That's much more seasonal.
There are a few fire burning here but quite far from me. Here's a
picture of Lytton BC, my old stomping ground. The town has been ravaged
by fire.. :(

It always takes me by surprise when you use the words December and
summer in the same sentence.
I hope you can get a good stock of firewood for the winter.. :)
We have a high of 11 and last night the low was 3 and this morning I
have
frost on the lawn. It's another world eh? :)
well it's getting rather expensive but I think we will be OK. We need
to get
another few cubic meters in the coming week as the pile is looking a
bit low
at present.

Just finished the last workday before... vacaaaation! :-D
Planning to read some books, get some nice food, fiddle a bit with mgetty+sendfax, and relax. :-D
Sounds good. I just got back from a whirlwind trip to San Diego to the Zoo, a Safari pack, watching 4th of July fireworks from the San Diego harbor, and now I have a moment to play catch-up with the BBS.
Tomorrow, we're having a shed built in our back yard; it's going to be a little reading retreat with a loveseat, ottoman, and some funky paint
and floor coverings.
