I don't care about your political differences, I care about the way you insult people, and I won't stand for it. I don't care if it's me you're insulting or some other person, even if it's a person I disagree with.
You need to stop. And if someone directly insults you, flag it. Please
try to be more civil around here.
Avon, please chime in, sadly Gamgee has a habit of being rather nasty toward people and I think the network suffers because of it. He also refuses to budge.
I feel that the stress from the lockdown is getting to those who may have already been stressed before our lives got turned upside down.
I try to take breaks from these forums and have learn to just tune out those who voice their opinions towards others.

We also need to remember that some folks, like our US West Coast sysops, may have been on lock down long before others of us were.
Santa Clara County, where I work, was one of the first locations in the
US with cases. We started sheltering in place on March 19th. We're now being told to shelter in place until May 3, and our school districts
have officially called it a year.

Oddly enough, I seem to be nusier now than I was before all this
COVID-19 stuff blew up in our faces. So I'm spread between a number of diverse activities, all in balance. :)

Santa Clara County is where I live. I also had surgery on Feb 25th and have been home since. I'm getting a bit stir crazy.
I have a dog, which is an automatic pass for exercise out in the open,
as long as you're not bunched together. Walking him 2x a day helps with the lack of movement.
There's a lot of yardwork to catch up on; I weeded two patches that had gotten overgrown over the winter, cleaned up the patio area so I can
work outside when the weather permits, and I'm finally going to run some CAT6 cable under the house to my office.
You have a yard?! Are you rich?!?!

I thought I'd have more time for actual work since I'm not commuting; instead I've added the following responsibilities:
Kid's remote education and spousal IT support
Math and history tutoring and lesson checking
webcam and microphone driver updates
Video conferencing concierge (zoom dates have replaced kid's play
dates) Network administration and monitoring
Print support
Shopping for at-risk friends and family
Continually checking the Johns Hopkins Covid-19 web site
Suddenly, sitting in a car listening to podcasts for 45 minutes doesn't sound like such a bad deal.
... Maybe the dingo ate your avatar.

The beaches are open, the rangers are discouraging people from going
and staying in one place, but if you're out for a walk along the beach they've been OK with it up until now.

I'm hoping the trees fill out qauickly on one side of the house, my neighbor has apparently taken up naked back yard yoga as a hobby now.

:O Guessing it is not an attractive she neighbor then? :) That
kind of activity would draw the attention of the Law in my area.

In short: Don't let this become Facebook, or worse, twitter...
Allow me some self-promotion. For a while I have been running https://diaspora.conxtor.com. Diaspora* is a distributed social
network,
focused on decentralization and privacy. Usually discussion seems to
be
civilized.
Interesting - I heard Diaspora was a bit on the ropes but it's great
it's still going strong. Maybe I should fire up my own instance too.
Yeah, I was a big fan when Diaspora was crowdfunded about a decade ago. After its co-founder committed suicide, I thought it went away [...]
