I slept in this morning, been up a bit too late thinking about this stuff which can do your head in a bit if you try to second guess what the end game will look like.Oh certainly. I'm glad I have a few Xanax around for when the panic really sets in. It's been a rough few weeks. Buckle up and start practicing social distancing, it's about to get bumpy.

I hope where ever you are today/tonight this finds you safe and well.

Australia has taken very similar measures. Our borders are also closed too, and we have the same limit on indoor gatherings.
No doubt, it is hard to escape. Especially when you are wired to
problem solve and want to help find a solution in some fashion.
Been working from home most of the week. Had to go in part of the day on Tuesday to one site for a particular thing, but otherwise at home. Work has been insanely busy.
Can't wait until the weather warms up for many reasons. Hoping that
helps slow/kill the virus and also will be able to do more things
outside.
Same here, worry about all this. Schools and churches are closed, restaurants are only serving take out and a all large events canceled and many other stuff here locally.
For some reason I thought they had already closed the borders? That is a good idea, IMHO.
while im ignorant a bit to exactly where you are, im going to guess that your country is a week or more behind america with covid-19... listen,
in a week your whole country will be on lockdown: i believe that we need to do more, or hope that covid-19 is way less bad than all the writing
on the wall.
every country should heed this virus in a big way. we need to be there
for eachother.

I guess this means all we can do now is wave at each other :)
Here it's turning to crap, almost single digit figures today... Winter
like conditions in early Autumn today.
Yep agreed, but while we can still keep smiling I think we're going to be fine :)

Yeah I saw they just closed Bondi Beach because people would not stop going. We are experiencing a lot of that here in Washington and
probably all over the USA. People just aren't taking it seriously.
I am an introvert and have been 100% remote WFH for many years, so in
some ways I feel like I've been training for this my whole life.
As long as people stay home, it should blow over in a month or two, if people keep breaking quarantine we are going to be dealing with this
for a lot longer. No skin off my nose, but a lot of people are losing their jobs and unable to get unemployment.
For some reason I thought they had already closed the borders? That good idea, IMHO.Not up until then but they are shut now. It's been well received by citizens here.

Is this because of the virus...or was it something the same nutjobs we have in the US because of big/bad non-white's invading?

Is this because of the virus...or was it something the same nutjobs w have in the US because of big/bad non-white's invading?I fear for the people that listen to the rhetoric here. I heard the
virus called the "Chinese Virus" by one elected official, then in the
same press conference heard his staff making allusions to the virus
coming because of "illegal immigration" - a dog whistle for building the wall if I ever heard one.
The virus. The US cannot close their borders even for that because of
the other group of nutjobs who think they should be open for anyone and everyone to come across. Does not work so well when they are bringing
in some new disease we've never seen before.
