Here in the Prison Board BBS in Dallas, Texas I heard abot the FSX Chat
today. Just what I've wanted for a while, a message base spanning
    multiple BBSs.

For a while I've tried to call the various BBSs to meet the occasional
person on it, but local active boards are few. Was happy to see so
    much activity on this network.

    So anyway... hi! :D

So fascinating reads on the CoronaVirus. I'll go with the common cold related virus that like many virus' tend to hit those with weak immune
    systems the hardest.

Aside from that, Mandolorian was a fun watch. Also enjoying the
Expanse, Lost in Space, Brooklyn 99. Want to see second season of
    Final Space at some point.

That's good for starters. What shows are you watching out there?

I was never much into TV but I like to watch the news or a hockey game
once in a while. I have decoupled from the cable now. I can watch youtube
and netflix with my blue-ray player so that's all I ever use.

There are all kinds of streaming services though, my lady friend watches
all her usual shows on her tablet. I'm not exactly sure how she does that
    but cable isn't needed anymore.

don't know how she gets all her TV shows though. She just keeps pressing buttons until it does what she wants I guess.

Many of the TV companies offer streaming directly from their websites of with dedicated "apps" for a tablet/phone.

globaltv.com (live or via an app)
cbc.ca (live on the site, or via their Gem app)

Some tv stations offer "free" periods:

cbs.com (the call it CBS All Access)
    cbsallaccess.ca

Select "shows" are available to stream on pbs.com (but restricted to USA)

    And so on.

Oh yeah! Used to be able to do the BBC/Channel 4 & such with the VPN...but
none of the broadcasters over there (even radio stations) are anal about any non-UK viewers. BBC America is just mainly American fare with a few BBC programs thrown in to say they are BBC. I get EastEnders & such same day...along with news.

Acorn TV is another one which features more than UK fare...but either one is
so much better than anything I had on Netflix...especially since they got rid of the shows I love the most like Doctor Who/Mission: Impossible.

Got a link for this service? In terms of BritBox...well worth the $6.99 a month...plus I watch it much more than I used to watch Netflix.

Well the one mentioned in the advertisement it was BBC America. I
think they mention it as "free" if you have a cable service. :P

Have to check out the other ones. Seems between Netflix, Hulu,

Am watching Father Brown...along with other shows which aren't on PBS here in the states. Still irritates me that many UK services use geolocation to keep those like me from getting a free ride. Wish there was a way the BBC would
sell a license like they do there. Would love to be able to watch many of my favorites live.
