My wife is out of town visiting her mum, I'm at home with my youngest daughter, this morning so far I've opened the house up for airing, fed
the pets, cleaned the kitchen, emptied out the dead and dying contents
of a fridge crisper vege bin, picked up some dog poo (pets are fun
aren't they?), emptied the rubbish bin, second load of washing is on
now, watered some plants in the kitchen :) Phew

Starting to look like Christmas over here as it has been cold for awhile now and we have put all the lights outside last weekend. Christmas tree is also done. Still need to do the train.
Naturally, all these are connected to my home automation so no manual intervention is needed. :)

My weekend is off to a good start, with a volunteering stint at Parkrun. I'm about to have lunch, before heading to the track for the local pentathlon championships. Looks like a 5 way contest in my age group,
but I am in with a decent chance. My 200m form will definitely cause a lot of damage, and I should be able to do OK in the 1500 on fitness. My long jump has been fairly consistent lately at 4.2-4.3m, and my discus
is way ahead of previous years. The javelin is my weakest event. :)
Tomorrow, I will be doing some linemarking on a road - the road is used for training fire brigade competitions and tome of the track markings
have been work by traffic. And after that, catching up with someone for coffee. c[_] ;)

The rest of mine was spent juggling a sick dog and getting the house in order for my wifes return on Sunday evening. We went out to the airport
to get here and the weather turned on strong winds and a thunderstorm
... not fun.
Today feels like it should be Wednesday but it's only Tuesday night.
The days are dragging by and I am hanging out for some days off /
holidays after 24 December... they can't come soon enough.
Oh I saw some coverage of the snow on the slopes of our Southern Alps being covered in pink/brown dust... it's all blown over here from the fires in your country. Crazy huh?
I'd like to say I did relax but it didn't happen - ha!
