Greasings and Sanitations,
In the course of putting my message base back together, I asked for a resend on FSX_GEN the result is a sticky packet that won't go away so for the time being I'm in la la land, getting the same 26k packet repeatedly.
Just waiting for Alter to pick it up and delete it, in the mean time.... I'm more or less off the air.

Hmm temporarily on and offline... my previously mentioned bulk copying operations and tieing my LAN up so badly NFS is unreliable... <sigh> Probably time I got my original plan A back in business... where most server to server operations are carried out on physical lan2 leaving lan1 for application traffic. That'll take some rebuilding tough.... never straight forward.

Hey there Mr Marinade....
I just noticed you popped up on TLP at some stage.. I've been a bit slack checking new users for a while, only just found you.

Seems to be dismembered. Unclear what time the last poll was, but for the
time being I am unable to get any traffic via FD. It keeps complaining about DNS issues, and after that who knows.
My FD VM has its foibles, so I'll try replacing it, seeing as how each VM is really only a boot device for a network mount its no big job, not like I need to rebuild it from scratch.

Its worse than that, its entirely deceased Jim. Last time it was the NFS mounts that died, this time its lost the primary HD in the host box. I know there's backups of the website and dbs somewhere... but I'm going to be having a long rebuild in front of me. On the plus side its getting an SSD in place of the ol' spinning rust.
I so rarely rebuild or upgrade anything I tend to forget what I need to do to get things functional. So I'll be relearning as I go.

Greenthings,
You might want to retire links to the "webring". The new linux install is giving me so much grief, even just with hit and miss virtualhosts in Apache, I can't be bothered rebuilding the thing.
