Interesting - what do you use to de-yellow the plastic? I've seen lots of options on the net, not sure what works the best.
I have tried everything from home made retrobrite to creme developer and have found the best option in order to get an even exposure and no marbling is to use 3% hydrogen peroxide (usual pharmacy stuff) with 8 parts water to 1 part hp. That an a good UV source like the sun will do wonders. I have also built
an indoor retrobrite station using a box lined with tin foil and some UV lights. I place the object in a clear container with the HP/Water mix and
place it inside the box. If I use the sun I can usually get the needed
results in 3-4 hours but indoor with my home made station I get the needed results in 8-10 hours. If you can get the mixture up to around 100 degrees F then you can speed up the process. That is why is works faster in the sun.
