On February 16, 2003, Chicago's Mayor Richard M. Daley declared the day "BBS" day in honor of the world's first BBS being created 25 years ago that day.

All thanks to CBBS created by Ward Christensen and Randy Suess of
Chicago, created on a S100 during some down time thanks to a blizzard. CBBS
was created in roughly 2 weeks and went online February 16, 1978.

Sweet, that was the best part of school for me were snow days to allow more time to BBS!!!

Also anyone who has fond memories of being a BBS user, or continues to be one.
As fun as it is to be a sysop, it's not the only way to enjoy or experience BBSing.
