  • NCBBS Downtime (Unexpected)

    Hey all,

    Just checking in after having been away from my BBS for a few days for couple of things - Apparently when my router went down recently our IP lease expired and we were given a new address, which knocked NCBBS offline.

    I've fixed it now, but if you're still having issues, you can just dial up 208.102.205.184, that'll send you straight there, at least until Ma Bell
    resets the IP again.

    You may want to consider a dynamic IP provider to make your hostname follows your IP in case it changes. Most are doing that since you can't guarantee you'll keep the same IP for an extended period of time unless you pay for a static one.

    Depending on your router, it may be directly supported. It's just a matter of configuring the proper details and voila!
