heading to sleep. Sorry if you are waiting on me for something but will get back into the hobby tomorrow night. Yawn, Night all.
Was up early y/day and to bed really late after going to see Queen live
in concert... got around 6 hours sleep then worked all day, dog tired, heading to sleep. Sorry if you are waiting on me for something but will get back into the hobby tomorrow night. Yawn, Night all.
only missed 2 that I wanted to see Springsteen, and ELO. Had tickets to
heading to sleep. Sorry if you are waiting on me for something but wi get back into the hobby tomorrow night. Yawn, Night all.
When you get a chance...wanna hear about the concert.
I want to see Queen so bad. I saw Queen back in 77! What a concert!! I
was only 15 years old and my parents didn't want me to go but I did anyway. Had to run from Madison Square Garden to Grand Central Station
to catch the last train out of NYC! Just got there in time!
Now I want to see Adam Lambert with Queen, from what I saw on TV and
vids on Youtube he is amazing!!
Queen was good, Adam Lambert did not try to be Freddy Mercury but did do
a great job at covering the songs the band created. Bryan May was his usual good self on guitar and there was a lot of visual effects used in the show. They started late but ran for two and a half hours. Some
Was never able to see them in the day either. Having lived in rural Oklahoma during this time...was unable to see many concerts with lack of transportation to venues which would be close to 70-100 miles away.
On the other hand...Lynne does have some concerts on You Tube. It's not the same thing as in the past...but is the next best thing.
Personally...would have loved to have seen Led Zeppelin & Pink Floyd
back in the day. Was going to school in southern Texas & couldn't find a ride till after the concert to see Roger Waters in Austin. Still kicking myself I didn't try harder.

on the ticket website for hours tryign to get tickets FInally gave up..
I will get to see him one day.. Saw Floyd's The Wall tour, greatest concert.. Looking back I would have loved to see Zep, but I wasn't a Zep head at the time..
Don't you hate those damned scalpers doing that?
Just like you...I wasn't either until after 1980...but a friend of mine was. At that time...I was into disco & started losing my hair. ;)
The scalpers suck! LOL As for Disco, yea I can honestly say today I was a Disco head from around 76 till 79.. Even did Roller Disco Dancing. God
how I "picked up on it" so quickly! LOL I finally admitted to them when
I was a Teenager I would go Roller Disco Dancing at a club that was near my home.. Jeez..
Funny thing was I never tried roller skating until I was in college.
Being out in BFE Oklahoma...never knew anyone who was into it.
It's amazing you didn't break your neck. Tried skating once in college
at a social outing. Decided at that time in the early 80's that any
other form of transportation with either 4 wheels or hoofs was okay with me...but not roller skating...especially being able to see how far my
legs would separate & how "graceful" I could be as I discovered gravity was never my friend.
I will be honest in the area I grew up in I would never have expected to be as many people who were into it.. NYC I figured it was really popular but the burbs? Shockingly so..
I know, it was only like 14 or so years from when I had last done it so
it wasn't too bad, just took some getting used to.. The funny thing was when I brought the skates home my kids and wife bought me knee pads,
elbow pads, a helmet, and what I used to call a girdle, it was basically
