Don't know if anyone actually pays any attention to them, but would anyone care
to have a look at the [ANSI] Melbourne weather messages from the past couple of days, and see if they display properly?

I've had to play with the script a fair bit, it looks fine inside the BBS, but I see some weird line jumps in the local message base.

I haven't looked for a while, but I will. The messages being from "Weatherman" are a bit confusing, because of the user named "Weatherman" on WWIV(-FTN). For a while, I was wondering why he was doing Melbourne weather! LOL

Just took a look in Multimail, both the ASCII and ANSI versions look fine.

Yeah the ASCII should be fine, thats easier than falling off a log. The ANSI one though, has been a pain in the buttkis. It looks out if I cat or type it on a console. But feed it through the SuperBBS message base the Frankston Temperature line, prints over te top of the current local temp line for some reason. Might be the number of colour changes adding up.

Thanks for looking... so long as its readable its all good.

Sounds like some sort of ANSI mangling issue in SuperBBS. Looks perfect to me in Multimail's ANSI viewer.

Our weather over here in Maryland (US) has not been my favorite. The jet stream has been causing the storms to ride to the west of us which puts us on the warm side of the storm. We have had nothing but tons of rain, cool, damp, and even a thunderstorm yesterday in the middle of our winter.

As long as the jet stream stays the way it is now, we will not get any snow. The middle of the country and even Texas has seen snow. We have had next to none.

Austin and places west and north got it. Here in Kurten, looking out my back porch, it's been cold and gray. With no icicles hanging on the bob war. Cows bellering for hay.

We have a trough lingering, which is causing some warm, steamy weather, but the rain is staying mostly out east. Did get a decent storm on Thursday evening.

How much snow did Austin pick up? Probably more than we have seen all season added together. Texas might get more snow than Maryland. That is certainly different.

A smattering. Maybe 1/4 to 1/4. Not enough for snowmen, but it coated everything. Didn't last long though.
