So my question goes out to you all, I am doing an informal interview
with him this Thursday and have my own list of questions but thought
maybe some of you have questions that Bob might be able to answer or
shed some light on from back in the day.

I know little of the history of this system but my reading and casual
knowledge of it points to the significance of it to the birth of
micro computing.

Perhaps some questions along the lines of knowing what you know now would you have done things any differently? Did you foresee the huge interest in what
you were working on? Did the project take the direction you and the team envisaged or did it head off down another path unforeseen? What did you enjoy most about it? What was the worst bit?

I just got back from Bob's house, we got about 1 hour and 6 minutes on video that I will go through and edit now. Again this is not pro grade video so not the best of angles/lighting/sound but I got him to agree to be on video and that is huge!

There were a few topics he did not want to share on video like details of
Gates due to the fear of folks that like to sue and he does get into
memories him being there to watch gates sue mits over basic.

He got emotional when talking about Paul Allen as they were close and he
would at random share stories of Paul Allen.

One of your questions really stumped him, as he paused for a long while and later told me that your question caused a flood of memories to return and he was trying to think about how he could fit it all in with out going on for hours.

In the end on my way out we caught up on each others families happenings and
he then said "if i want more information/interviews he would be happy to do so!"

This really opened up the flood gates of memories for him as his wife told me again today, he has not talked much about those days for over 25 years and
now he is excited to have someone and people out there wanting to hear it.

Again I will get with you on your offer Paul!

Well I'm glad I could offer something that gave him pause to reflect. I feel for him with respect to being reflective and the emotions is surfaced.

Well I'm glad it went well for both of you. Being able to tap into first hand accounts of what occurred and how it was perceived by someone involved is always really interesting and insightful. I'd be only to happy to help
promote anything you create so that others can tap into that history etc. as well.
