Hi Guys,

Writing to you from quarantine today...
After a long day alone with my 2 month old son who was very agitated because
of his stomach pains I started to feel very beat, like I had no power what so ever so I decided to make a covid test because I had one laying around in the cabinet.
Surprise Surprise it came out positive....My wife rushed to the pharmacy to
buy some new ones because the one I had was very old and maybe was wrong.
She bought a bunch so I could test her and my son also and the result.... She was negative, my son negative and me positive again.
In this case, knowing that this omicron now affects children more I decided
to move out to my fathers apartment that is empty. Funny thing is that I just had my 3rd pfizer shot a moth ago and the funniest part is that one year ago, on 29th of January I was again positive with covid and spent 14 days locked
in my house. That time my wife was also negative and remained like this fro
the whole period I was sick.
I have nothing besides the fact that I feel very tired and broke so I hope
that it will all go away soon and the 10 days of quarantine that is now mandatory in Romania will go fast.
I feel that I am going crazy all alone here knowing that my family is 3 blocks away and I cannot see them...

Most people who gets hit around me has one or three tough days (tops) but most often than not, it is just a mild annoyance.

Remember to have your Zinc and D vitamins :-)

I am afraid the subject is forbidden in this network.

I would not go as far as saying the shots do nothing, but results are vastly disapointing.

Romania will go fast. I feel that I am going crazy all alone here

The covid shots wont stop you from getting it, but will lesson the affects that could make you sick enough to require going to the
hospital. The guy that lives next door's sister has had it three times.

I believe defence in depth. The shots do help lessen the severity of symptoms (but likely won't stop you catching covid). Keeping healthy, getting proper rest and maintaining good Vitamin D levels will help on top. Mask wearing and avoiding crowded places, especially indoors, can help prevent you getting infected in the first place.

With the time I spend outside all year round, my Vitamin D levels are going to be quite good (and the doc has never raised concerns, despite my blood tests usually being in mid winter). Sun exposure in moderation can help with infections.

With a number of important meets most weekends this time of year, I'm avoiding unnecessary exposure to crowds when I can, especially indoors. I didn't go to a major public event a week ago for this reason. I'm less concerned about covid itself, but the mandatory week (or more, depending on disease progress) isolation is highly problematic this time of year.

Haven't caught anything but some colds here, so far.

I guess the third shot isn't any guarantee anymore, but hopefully at least some kind of protection against severe illness.

Good to hear, and good you have all the vitamins, etc which are important.

I had the virus the week after Christmas and it lasted around a week for me. I hit it with Xlear nasal spray, Benedryl Allergy, Colostrum, and Vitamins C, D, and Zinc. Lots of all the above. I will say the Xlear nasal spray and Benedryl Allergy seemed to help the most, but all the other items are important too for fighting it off.

I know a few people who have got the pfizer booster and then either tested positive, or came down with omicron, a few weeks later. It is either not
as effective against omicron as it was against the other variants, or they
have exceptionally bad luck.

You are the first one I know of that had tested positive previously. They
were all first-timers, as far as I know.

Hope it all goes well and you are back in the house soon. :)

I've been sick since Monday. This is the first time I've been able to sit

It's kicking my ass hard. However my wife has no symptoms and tested negitive. I got cocky and said last week to someone, "I'm just one of the ones who won't get it." LOL

Oh well. I've slept 45 mins in 3 days so I'm really loopy from that too.
