I'm predicting that it will be more of the same with a few surprises, a few good but mostly bad. That seems to be the way the 20s are going so far.

My guess is one about 365 days long, give or take 6 hours. We'll probably get to complete a full orbit of the sun and put up with a lot of BS.

I was being a little facetious there.

My honest take is that in 2022, we will see the following
1: A changing of the COVID "narrative" with the focus going more on how to cope than how to prevent.
2: Further decline in living conditions and economic conditions, with a notable lack of will to do anything about it.
3: Biden might go, not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Harris as the US President.
4: No war with China, but getting closer to it.
5: More focus on environment issues, climate change, sustainability, with the solutions being more imposed top down, than bottom up through our voluntary choices. That is to say, instead of society acting democratically, companies and the state will just do what they want for "our good".

For ME? Well, I would like to upgrade my job, if a better one comes up, though I am content where I am. Staying "content" isn't a good thing though, at least not for me.

I'm hoping for no further family sickness. being finally able to go on holiday for a while and just generally trying to keep socially active, make the most of my life.

And to learn to say no, stop putting myself in situations I don't want to be in because I think it is the right thing to do.

Get some stuff fixed around the house and yard that needs to be fixed, learn, teach the children about the world.

Here's the thing about that: It is and it isn't better. In the sense that
only the hits have withstood the test of time, and not the inferior music,
the subset of "classic" music that we have now is way better than modern
music simply because time hasn't had a chance to weed out the inferior
    modern music yet.

One day the music of today will be digested, refined, and culled. And then our children will be where we are now, and their kids will be where they are now.

It's the Circle of Life^H^H^H^HMusic. Not to be confused with the Circle of Fifths, of course.

In all honesty, no name comes to mind. I do not think in terms of "heroes". There are people I respect, people who I value, but "hero" is something else. Someone who might end up saving my life, that person would be a hero.

There are people I admire and respect for various reasons, but those reasons are not the totality of the person. Better to take inspiration from the best qualities of a wide range of people; no single one of them is the ideal.

You called me a liar, now a hypocrite, and now telling me to shut up.

I was caught off guard by that message myself, but noticed that this person was replying to themselves. I don't think those words were directed at you.

Maybe take a little more into account that
a, in an echomail message no one can see an emotion or can sense if a sentence was 'just for fun' unless you add some smileys/emoticons to
    it :)
b, not everyone is always looking who a message is adressed to, so it
is not the default that one is self-replying...

And while fsxNet should really be 'fun', not everyone has the same
sense of humour, especially when it comes to rude words.

    Regards,
    Anna

Uhm...no I didn't...I was literally talking to myself...?

Don't bother giving more "advice". I'm going to follow my own and le this thread.

Wise choice. You clearly haven't followed the thread... (o_O)

Nah, I'm a mere quinquagenarian. I was in my 20s in the 90s, but since the 2020s hadn't arrived yet, whenever anyone mentioned the 20s in the 90s, th
    were referring to the 1920s.

    I'm a 'quatro-genarian' then. AKA in my 40's.

I still get you. As much as my parents were pissed when I called ABBA 'classic', I
pissed when children call Linkin Park 'classic'!

The old people I know get kind of happy when something they liked in their youth is
finally recognized as a classic. Specially if it was something frowned upon by society
back in the day. It kind of validates them and sends the message "We told you this
    stuff was good".

Popular opinion is that I kinda confused everyone there. Don't worry, I won't let my other personality interfere again! ;)

I am not well known by anyone here. I only joined fsxNet last month.

Probably a part of why I seem to keep apologizing. I don't necessarily think the same way as the average person.

As the old saying goes, a mistake is only a mistake if you don't learn from
it, and I'm learning (the hard way) how to do things around here...

    Cheers! (^_^)/

There's a classic rock station I listened to on the radio a lot when I was in high school. I like classic rock - and I tend to think of classic rock as rock music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s (and newer music from older bands could also be considered classic rock, I suppose).
About 10 years ago, I was in my car and tuned to that classic rock station and they were playing Nirvana.. Huh? I consider Nirvana to be too new, and also grunge, not classic rock.. :P
