It is on and looks good. I am now waiting to see how many roofing nails my automobile tires find. If they missed just one, I am sure it will find it!

Hehe, if we got a new roof, it'd be sunny skys until the old roof came off
then suddenly it would bucket down.

Yay, that's good news. We have a tile roof here it's OK but I miss the sound of rain on roofing iron.

I hope your tires remain safe!

Well, it was close! I was the afternoon job. They were about two hours
late. They got the old roof off and it started to cloud up. They managed
to get the new roof on before it got dark. I went to bed about 3 hours
later. Sometime shortly after that, here came the rain! :)

I thought about getting a "tin" roof. There are a few in the area that
have done that and they look good.

When I bought the place I am currently in, it took me a while to get used to not hearing the rain when it fell. Tile roofs are much quieter. When I do hear the rain I know it's totally dumping down :)

We have awnings on our top floor, they magnify the sound of the rain. When it's really stormy, and the city is quiet in the middle of the night we can hear the surf crashing at night - very peaceful.

sounds nice, there's certainly something comforting about hearing such sounds while tucked up in bed, so long as it's not drip drip :)
