I'm wondering if anyone here (asides Deon who has been patiently helping me with lots of questions) has any experience using jwilder/nginx-proxy and the letsencrypt-nginx-proxy-campanion with Docker compose?
Is there any dependency on that package? I struggled to get my head
around it then ran into Nginx Proxy Manager, which comes as a docker
app and puts a nice front end around nginx's proxy and supports Letsencrypt.
Not sure but in brief, it all works for what I have set it up for (which was using a walk through guide online to get a test instance of Matrix working) but where I am coming unstuck is how to figure out how best to use the current proxy and letsencrypt docker images to allow me to serve up additional websites.
I'll figure it out in time or end up using a different solution that Deon has kindly offered.
You know how it is when you really want to solve a problem and crack the case but no matter what you try (to date) it does not work. I'll suss it, but it's been a good learning experience so far.
