There was a part that looked like you were coming in for a
landing, but then you pulled up near the end of the runway. Did
you underestimate the approach for landing?
No, that is called a Touch and Go. You actually land, but once the front wheel touches, you bring up the flaps, and and put the engine back to full power and take off again. This is when you want to do a lot of approaches and landings for practice.
The runway at Columbia County Airport is about 5300 feet long. So plenty of room for a little Cessna 172 like I am fying, and for some jets as well.
At the end of the video, when we pulled on to the taxiway to leave the runway, that is called a Full Stop Landing. We're down and going to taxi back to the parking ramp, hanger, fuel pump, etc...
