I think one thing that is a turnoff is out of state job recruiters saying
they can get me a job and then they end up ghosting me.

People at human resources have a big tendency to treat you like disposable trash,
mainly because yet-to-be-employees are actually dispossable (and in a big number of
cases, they happen to be trash too).

It sucks, but my experience is that qualified job positions in Spain get around 300
candidates in one hour for a single vacancy. There is no way a human resources employee is going to pay you any attention or respect. You are less than a number. You
    are a differential.

This is why I am a strong proponent of people creating their own firm, starting their
own job for themselves, and screw job hunting. It is not easy by any means, but at
least it is not degrading. Specially for big corporations, trying to score a job
position on one feels like eating dick for the promise of a couple of cents and a
political indostrination course in corporate politics.

im not going to freeze my job search for one firm, I was supposed to get a
drug test and get ready for this potential 3-3.5 month job. Only way they
will get me in "exclusitivity mode" is for the process to accelerate.

If I dont get the order/script for the drug test for the job by Friday, im
just going to tell them No thanks.

At my job, we have trouble getting 3 candidates in one week (the amount of
time the job is open for application). None usually qualify. The extra benefits that people are still receiving, combined with the
government-sector pay scale, make filling positions here rough.

... So easy, a child could do it. Child sold separately.

    The wages must be terrible!

    Or the job, I guess.

My condolences, though. I know how budgets can be, and I'm sure you're making due with whatever you can to get the job done.
