Language is funny like that. Here we commonly refer to them as cookies but we also have "dog biscuits" and "tea biscuits".

3 seconds and you're likely to get soggy biscuit drop to the bottom as they disintegrate pretty quick.

A tea biscuit is kind of like a savoury scone, often (but not always) has cheese baked into them. They're very light and flaky, best eaten warm
out of the oven.

I tend to think of Tea Biscuits more as a "Dry" sweet biscuit.. never heard orRich Tea or Bourbons before... Custard Creme and Digestives are borderline teabiscuit in my notebook. :)
