    APAM,
I received the TIC on the new GDYN 2 game ... Installed and running just
fine. Love the simplicity of the new screen look!

I do have dome questions on a little confusing things.

    1. New Game ... Created name perfect.

    2. At the Main Screen - > Finances, initial credits = 2000c

    3. Nav to exploration, selected Urban to purchase a single planet. However
the cost for a single planet is 2700c ... this is 700c more than the initial 2000c you get when you state the game.

    4. Choose to take a tune. Taxes produced 800 Credits, however, the financed actually reduced by -200 credits and did not increase at all ...

Wonder if you and elaborate on this a little?

I suspect you had troops? It's not as intuative as I'd like but the
"budget" is how much it's going to subtract on the next turn. You want
that to be equal to the line above.

If it is less, then it means you have less money than can cover it and
need to scrounge some up before taking a turn or else some troops will
flee (or in case of food, citizens will starve).

Also, that amount is taken /before/ you collect taxes, so you can not
rely on next turns taxes to cover this turns expenses.

So I'm guessing you had expenses, but thought that was "covered" by the
    budget?

Yeah, the planet cost is calculated by how many planets you already have,
so they continue to get higher. Because you start with a bunch of planets already, it takes some time before you can afford more.

    Hope that helps,

    Andrew

    APAM,

another question on GDYN 2 ... While playing the game, where do you see how much food is required? I know in original GDYN it told you how much food was required. in v2 I cannot see where and I have citizens starving before I
figure out I need to additional Planets for food.

In the population box, there is two lines, upkeep and budget.

upkeep is how much food they need, budget is how much food you will give
them next turn (it's automatic, and will give them as much as you have up
to the upkeep) So, if upkeep is higher than budget you don't have enough
    food.
