Hey y'all, I just wanted to let you know that I managed to get my first DOS door working on thE qUAntUm wOrmhOlE (yay go me).

It's called GuTTeRBoWL v1.01 and it' pretty impressive. Please feel free to come and have a go.

it take you from downloading/installing server to get to this point?

You could try LORD...since there seems to be plenty of information to get it set up & configured.

Well, after I figured out how to use DOSEMU with Mystic, it was a case of copying the files to a folder inside my DOSEMU environment, running the
config executable to get it set up, and then just calling it with a menu command. I suppose all that took about 10 minutes.

The hard part was figuring out how to use DOSEMU with Mystic, I've followed numerous guides in the past and never got it working, until now. Not sure
what I ended up doing that made it all work, but everything seems to make
more sense this time round lol

Ah yes, LORD, I think I may spend a while looking for all the door games, although as mentioned before elsewhere, door servers are useful too. I just want to see what I can have running locally now =)


My BBS runs in an LXC container hosted via a Proxmox VE host computer. All debian based, it's super quick to spin up new containers too with Proxmox.

Glad you were able to get it figured out...even with all the info out there giving you clues on what might work. Been there...done that.

now. Not sure what I ended up doing that made it all work, but

Have had that happen before. Usually will be at work or somewhere away from
the computer & will try to remember the idea when I get home.

Yay for you! I have been going round and round with Linux, SBBS, and DOSEMU. Finally have done a complete fresh install. Hopefully I can make progress.
