Going through my notebook of ideas for doors. Do either of these 2 sound interesting?

    Door Ideas...

    1. BBS TELEPORTER
This is about rapid BBS discovery, not just a telnet BBS list. Get a bunch
of BBSs signed up to particupate. Each BBS adds a menu item (e.g. "T" or whatever) that brings them to the Teleporter Screen. For each BBS,
there's a pre-assigned user login already created (like a "Guest" account limited access, or the ability just to post in a single area
anonymously). Would require Sysops to support RLOGIN or SSH in order to
pass un + pw for login. NOTE: MAYBE THIS ALREADY EXISTS SOMEWHERE?

    Example screen:

    ---
The BBS Teleporter takes you to a *new to you* BBS for you to check out.
    Hop around. Discover something new.

Maybe even create an account and add to your regular rotation.

    You've visited 6 BBSs!
    Rank: EXPLORER

    [T] Teleport
    [V] View all (16)
    [Q] Quit

    ---

    2. CARDS AGAINST BBSs
This is a BBS version version of CaH. The genius (evil?) of CaH is in the authored card packs, which are available for free/open source as a
JSON feed and an Excel spreadsheet -- including all specialty packs
(tech, politics, culture, sci-fi, etc.)! It *could* be networked across
BBSs, but this would be pretty challening to sync up.

    Prompt Period:
Basically, there'd be a new Prompt (e.g. Black Card) shown to users until enough responses have been collected to end the round (X number of
responses? Time period?). This door would run ideally run at login, so
every user sees the day's prompt.

So each user that logs in sees the Prompt, and is then randomly assigned
    a set of 8-10 response cards (

    2. CARDS AGAINST BBSs

That one sounds like it could be fun! Would either need to
be on a central server (such as door party) or ibbs somehow,
I wouldn't want to attempt to figure it out. LOL

Thanks, Tiny! There are several git repos where people have made
multi-user versions of CaH for console-type experiences: python, node, go,
etc. They all utilize a central server... FTN data xfer would probably
need different/simplified mechanics... But yeah, pretty complex I think.

    1. BBS TELEPORTER

So, gamification of calling BBSs, combined with creating a reason to have
some sort of uniform login on any BBS that runs it.

Seems neat, though it's still just calling random BBSs.

    2. CARDS AGAINST BBSs

I think the idea works pretty well, especially if people play multiple games
at a time. E.g., if you get six people into a game, you could give them five prompts in a row, and then have them choose the winner for their round, at least after the first time through.

Whether either idea would get a critical mass, or be worth the effort? I
don't know. But there's definitely value in each idea, so that's pretty neat.

I think the central server is the only way to do it, just make sure
it's at least opensourse and easy for someone else to run if you
get bored and shut down. :)

Oh gawd, ain't that the truth!

We have two Siamese cats, one of them has a very "strong" personality. He's taken to screaming at me for attention and more recently he'll do whatever he can to get close enough to my hair to start licking/bathing me.

Let me tell you, a scratchy cat tongue does not feel that great on your scalp...

Our male cat believes he is in fact god. He runs around roaring and yelling
at us if Andrea doesn't spend enough time with him. When he does get on her lap he stares at her in a creepy lovey way. He gets jelous if we spend too much time together so we have to lock him out of the bedroom at night or he will attack me for being too close to her.

I see your cat tongue and rise it to horse teeth.

Once they get to know and trust you, some horses just LOVE to rythmically scrath you with their mouths. Some are gentle. Some like it rough.

    I like them both :-)

I guess that being pinned against a fence and have a draft horse pull your beard with her teeth is not for everybody, though.

We have two cats, the older Zoey we adopted when she was about 4 years old and had a lot of trama and still doesn't like strangers in our home. The second is Captain Jack aka Jackie fastpaws. When we adopted him at about 7 weeks and we were told it was a "her" and didn't find out till about a month after. Both demand to be fed at no later than 6am whether it is the weekend or not.
