At the moment I'm day dreaming about owning an older 1990s style reel to reel tape recorder.. I used to use a studio quality one made by Otari
but now they seem to only come up for sale priced at over $1000 :(
My dad has a 4 channel reel to reel, It's from tge 70's or 80's though. I remember us recording a song he wrote once on it. Just me and him, but it sounded like a full on Big Band ensemble when finished.
