    Greenthings again...

Well TLP is staggering along if this makes it out somewhere. At this stage, sabretooth has become the daily compute, seeing as under full load it sucks ~220W. The Core2 Quad, I've been using as the daily has become brightmatter local server.

So... where are we... I've cut it back to 2 nodes, and FrontDoor. Performance is somewhat less, although usable. Due to foibles with XFS191 not wanting to talk to an NFS server on the host system, I've pulled out the Sophos box and bunged an NFS server on it. Probably also not helping performance, its a dual core atom.

It has some wrinkles, my message reader isn't... all the file areas are still missing, not sure what to do with them... probably makes the most sense to mount them on sophos from brightmatter and then export them again NFS. Sophos hasn't got the storage space for it all, and it doubles as the FTP files also.

Ahh poor ol' brightmatter was running back at Buntu 16.04, so it got a do-release-upgrade. Never tried it before, always just started from scratch. It hasn't gone without hiccoughs but seems functional, mostly. The new kernel won't load, just sits there sucking its thumb. the 16.04 kernel still loads though but I have to manually select it. Oh, it upgraded to 18.x

So little to do and so much time to do it. At least my head is starting to think a bit again.
