• Snow sucks

Well, it turns out the region of Spain I am in didn't get hit hard by the snow, but the business surely is.

Deliveries are getting blocked by snow since delivery agencies have their trucks and roads blocked. This means I have a bunch of packages laying around in some logistics agency's warehouse, instead of travelling. At least one of the packages was ordered by medical service witgh premium less-than-6-hours delivery because they need them hard, and the package is standing on my desk because the delivery agency can't spare me a truck.

Also, the horse's water supply got frozen and I had to carry the water to their barn with buckets from elsewhere.

    Winter is the worst.

They showed video of people in Madrid throwing snowballs at each
other in the streets. Ofcourse, the officials had to point out
    "that's a social distancing problem". :/

    Delivery it via horseback! :D

Just as quickly as the snow and cold arrived HERE, it went away.
It is quite mild here now, -2C. The snow piles from about 2
weeks have diminished quite a bit and there has been no
    significant refill.

Maybe you will have a sudden warm front move in shortly.

It sure is, especially when you have large farm animals. There
were several winters when the family would be tasked to carry
water from the house to the barn (roughly a 150ft trek one way)
in two buckets for each trip and for each cow. There were about
20 bovines at one point. (Three of us: mom, me and brother)
would have to get the task done before catching the schoolbus at
    8a.

Emergency deliveries cannot afford the wait.

I had to make a phone call and the delivery got done from a different location. I guess it is gonna cost me a favor in the future but at least customers are happy.

Logistics for deliveries is a challenge.

That is so true. I wasn't thinking of emergency things: babies, 911, crimes.

Nice! I've done similar - called and paid for a taxi to send people home.

But how did you get the package at YOUR location to it's destination? How can you arrange a different location? I'm confused.

I phoned the clinic I work for. I keep a small stash of popular products in office just in case I have to deliver them while I am there - it is in another town. There weren't enough wares to fullfil the order but I could get half shipped from there today (which suits the customer) and the rest of the order will arrive when it may.
