What are folks using these days for QWK packets?

BlueWave/386 for DOS in DOSBox. MM is nice, but I still prefer the original.

I'm trying that right now, just to see what it's like. I'll probably want
to find another editing rather than TED.COM though...

Hmm, Bluewave/386 works but for some reason it adds a number to the s of the To: field...

A Y2K bug I think. There is a fix for that in BW-Y2K.ZIP or BW-Y2K2.ZIP.

I just had it pointed out that Y2K bugs are now old enough to drink in the US.

Which is entertaining, even if the whole US drinking age thing is weird.

Saw a post the other day from a bartender who said -- now all I have to
do is look for the "1" in the birth year and I know they are old enough
to drink (US drinking age = 21).

Tobacco is now restricted to adults 21+ in NY. No smoke, no drink, unless you're old enough to screw up a QWK packet! :)

The drinking age here in Ontario is 19 but in Quebec it's 18.

I know a lot of my friends just couldn't wait the extra year and would often take a ~5 hour (each way) roadtrip to buy some booze. They'd usually make a weekend out of it and stay at a local campground.

It really is, although, I suppose because of my height, I never was asked for ID until after I got back to the US after the Army. Even then it was inlyy once. I found that hilarious because I was yhe youngest in my group of friends, and the only one that coukd regularly buy alcohol.

Yep! It's lucky that someone built those updates for the BW readers and doors.
