Later today we watched a Netflix movie called The Midnight Sky. I thought 'yay' a SciFi movie. In the end I thought 'boo what a dirge'. So my top tip is skip this slow 2 hour movie that has George Clooney in it. He stars, directs and produced the film... he may have had fun making it
but the story is sloooow... and the plot in the end is weaker than the strength of the tea I make my wife... beware!

I heard it described as lacking a beginning and an end -- that it doesn't describe how the situation came about, and leaves the conclusion up to you.

Awww, now I'm sad. I was planning to watch this today. :-( I love
me a Clooney flic. I'll probably watch it anyways, and will report
back.
On another note, I enjoyed Wonder Woman 1984. 'Tis a bit silly, but
it's fun to see the Mandalorian as the bad guy. :-P

The Midnight Sky has gotten a bad rap but I totally disagree - I think it's asolid movie but it's not always an easy sell to the viewer. I
happen to be aGeorge Clooney fan since the re-make of 'Solaris' and
later 'Michael Clayton'so make of that what you will.

I don't feel so bad now. I oddly enjoyed the film also. It was a
slower pace, and a bit castaway-ish in pace, but I felt the ending
was a bit as unexpected as Enders Game (The book).

I thought the ending was brilliant.

He finds out his daughter is in space and he has saved her and then he disappears. Did he finally succumb to his cancer or did the radio die?
Who knows? I liked it a lot.
