Hey Everyone,
I received a call from my Dad late last week, which in itself is not out of the ordinary. What was unusual was that my Dad was asking me if I knew anything about bitcoin.
I've mentioned my Dad on here before, but for those that may not remember: My Dad doesn't own a computer, or a cell phone. He doesn't even have call display on his landline. He does have a digital answering machine built into his cordless phone, but that's about as technical as my Dad gets.
So apparently while my Dad was at work, he was looking at the news online and came across a "news article" about how Wayne Gretzky makes $28,000 every month investing in bitcoin. He thought that "seems too good to be true" and called me up asking about it & whether or not he should do it.
It took a bit (and me switching off my ad blocker) to find what my Dad was talking about, but I came across this site designed to look exactly like mirror.co.uk where none of the links worked, but it was a "news article" going on about for a mere $200 investment you too can strike it rich investing in bitcoin.
Other than the fact the site looks like mirror.co.uk but the URL isn't, the next big red flag was the fact that they spelled Wayne Gretzky's name wrong in the headline.
Here's a screenshot of the phishing site for those interested:

At any rate I've sent an email to the real mirror.co.uk site as well as reporting the site to Google as phishing. If I could find that advertisement again, I would also report that.
TL;DR: If you see an ad about "Wayne Gretzsky" selling bitcoin - avoid!
