think storyline will be a hurdle, rather it will be convincing business suits to fund the series ;-)
I mean, the last episode was a Deus ex machina that was created in the
original series, so storylines never seem to be a hurdle. :)
But, indeed, it'll be interesting to see what they fund.
As much as I enjoy the Star Trek universe, having two ongoing series already seems like it might be nearing saturation.
But then again, half of movies are superhero films, and Netflix is producing _so_ much content. So perhaps CBS wants to keep up.
Though, that said, I just subscribed to Netflix, and there's Star Trek: Discovery. I guess CBS: All access isn't a thing over here (and probably not
in New Zealand, either), so it's different.
