Very nice design and features. Much better than the Tesla truck monstrosity.
At about $100k for a truck, I'd be afraid to take it off-road to
even put a scratch on.

At that price I could buy a rental property here in Indiana. At that
price I'd be afraid to take the truck out of the garage lol! I'll wait
a few years, but will own one, used likely. Electric needs to come down in price without it being a tiny ugly vehicle like the Chevy Vue (no offense to anyone that owns one ..) But love that the Hummer is back in production. Now if they'd come out with a realistically priced gas alternative; I'd be all in on that truck design.

I'm still waiting for my CyberTruck.
We're in Central California here, and with the threat of both rolling blackouts and preventative power shutoffs due to wildfire risk, I started questioning the wisdom of electric. Suppose I could get a gasoline generatorto charge my electric car :)
Dude, I'm with you too.. another poster said how they hated theCyberTruck... but I dig it man. I
mean... I like the Hummer too, but I won't shy away from a wild designEVER... its 2020, bring on the
NEW stuff man!

The cybertruck design is awesome. I love the retracting bed cover.

When/if they force us to electronic vehicles, most of us won't be able to afford one.
But the crab walking! And the turning radius!
Pure insanity and a deadly weapon.
When/if they force us to electronic vehicles, most of us won't be abl afford one.
Right? $100k for a truck is extreme.
Isn't that how much a Hummer costs anyway?
The Chevy Volt is pretty affordable. Same with a Tesla Model 3 for that matter.
Not big on the Volt. The Tesla's are nice though.
The Model 3 Tesla is pretty sick. My friend has one...in California an electric car gives you access to the carpool lane. There's a chance my
gf andI relocate to SoCal and I wind up with a commute, in which case there's aTesla in my future... :P

My friend has one also, it's incredibly fast also. It's a tablet on wheels, the console is unreal. I'm more of a jeep/truck guy, in part
from having owned a landscape business for so long and owning quite a
few trucks; in part due to snow. But I love the Tesla, that is one vehicle I'd own. Prices do need to come down on electric vehicles, and out here Citizen Gas/Electric's rates are as pricey as gasoline. But if
I had the cash, and could stomach 100k, I'd buy the Hummer. That truck looks pretty amazing.
Here's to hoping you get to move! New vehicles are always fun! I
bought a Jeep Wrangler Altitude Trim, and love it. But already missing having a truck for trips to Lowes for my weekend projects. I may buy a small trailer but have nowhere to store it. But the jeep is great for finding good trails to ride bikes.
I am guessing $100k is about 3x what it is actually worth.
..needing gas, as he owned an electric vehicle then he
opened the trunk and showed them his gas generator. Even
though I'm sure it was satire; I can so see that becoming
a real thing. And I can't imagine gas fumes are a good
thing within a vehicle.
With that said, I still want one -- would prefer gas --
and about a $60k price drop -- but it is the nicest
looking electric vehicle to come out in my opinion
Not big on the Volt. The Tesla's are nice though.

Recently I had a wild hair and was looking at '70-'72 era Chevy K-10s.
To me, that is the ideal pick-up...and I want one bad, even though I'd have no way to use it hahaha
Have you seen the video with the modified "Truckla" out there? :)
The "all functions on this tablet" thing is actually kind
of worrisome for me. I like having some hardware buttons
for certain things (A/C control, radio, stuff I'm likely
to mess with frequently while driving). Burying everything
into some menu someone needs to take their eyes off the
screen to navigate is, IMO, a bad idea. I'm hopeful
electric cars will find a happy medium of what to put on a
screen and what to leave as a button.

No .. do share?!
Not so farfetched. Our homes are powered by electric. The goto
solution is a gas-powered generator when there is an outtage.
A simple logo/symbol instead of H-U-M-M-E-R across the grill would
look classier imho.
The power-lift suspension was part of the Citroen (in the 60's). A
family friend had one of those. He lived and worked in the city, but
spent many a day in cottage country when the backroads where not as manicured as they are now. The headlights following the steering
wheel movement were also very cool.

I love rugged 4x4s. Old Jeeps, old Defenders, stuff like that. I have zerouse case for one of them but love the style haha. Then again, I haveI'd love to have an old muscle car. I want a 69 Chevy Chevelle SS! Would love
a '67GTO and have zero use case for that either.

You're probably right once established; a lot of that $100k is R&D right now ..if they can sustain that price due to demand, it'll all be profit.
Howeverthat doesn't seem to be how things work these days with the internetcompetition out there. Look at the price of a 65" TV compared
to even 5 yearsago. Seems as if as soon as more competition comes out,
or newer tech, theprice of the prior drops like a rock. So my hope is thats the case with thiscool truck :)

When flat screens first came out, the 42" Sony's were $10k... I paid $5k oneBay, using a friends account whom demanded I pay immediately....
Scam.

I know! I so need that in my suburb to grocery store trips (lol!)

Is the building thereof..
...then head over the curbs, and park in entirely unreasonable places (imagine parallel parking that -- probably would be easier than when I
did itwith a subcompact in a space that would've fit a truck of that size).
I'm also reminded of Jack Rickard (who died pretty recently, I think) of Boardwatch fame, who talked about the first generation civilian Hummers, howhe liked them, and how they tended to shed parts as they went along.
I've seen one that is filmed by the girl who came up with it. It's
much better.
I remember Plasmas running that much, the Pioneer Elite. I don't
recally 42"srunning that much -- insane. Heck we almost bought a 65"
last year for justunder $800 thinking it was a good deal .. we decided
we didn't need it. Justsaw a 65" Vizio or Samsung at Walmart (pre black friday sale) For $460/$477respectively. I may just have to jump on one this year. Our living room 55"TV is above our fireplace, on a two story vaulted ceiling, and is just toosmall -- besides a 55" would look great
in my Garage :)
goes from their garage to work, garage to the grocery store, and never sees the dirt or climbing it was designed for; yet spent over 100k for
it as well.... I'm find with my little jeep I spent no more then 20k
The h1? I think Arnold Schwarzenegger got the first one. It's a nice
Funny story - the last TV I bought was one of those Samsung curved 65" ones.. Igot a decent deal on it, $1300 or so at the time for a 4K screen with plenty ofi/o... after bringing it home, we set it down on the
carpet while we preppedthe wall bracket and install brackets that go on the rear of the LCD - ittipped ever so slowly and simply touched a computer desk that was sitting rightthere...
At least it's better than a boat? Which, so far as I can tell, are designedto be parked somewhere and henceforth require maintenance.
Yeah, the H1. I always like the concept of the H1, because of the whole, "designed to take an 18-inch wall at 40mph and keep going" aspect.
Heck, thats a pretty good story! Sounds like you might need to stayIm staying with my 2016 4k tv for awhile.

Thanks just watched it, funny show. I think I would have named that the Teslarado more so then the Truckla ;)

vehicle" available for personal purchase since the Jeep, that I can recall (I could be wrong) but with the gas mileage of a tank, I'll wait for a tank to come out for sale.

I think I've seen the one you're talking about, the girl
who actually has a recurring brain tumour. :/ But this
was the best I could find looking around fairly quickly.
Yeah, you gotta love how prices drop as technology pushes forward. One
of the first flatscreen TVs we bought was a Panasonic 42 plasma. At the time, it was $4500. I could buy 70" TVs and put them on every wall in
the 1st floor for that much now. :)
It's great not being in the business anymore, and not hearing about the "latest and greatest" technologies .. it allows me to buy the $400 larger screen TV's without feeling I need 3D-technology (which was a flop), 4k (which is now down in that $400 range .. and now at least content is available,) etc ... At this point we're just upgrading the living room TV so we can actually see it better over the fire place, then my garage TV will upgrade to 55" from 32", and my 4 year old will get a 32" flat panel in his bedroom instead of a 13" tube TV with DVD built in (finally).
Thats going going to pretty much complete our cycle for now; until my 13 year old realizes he has a 50" plasma 720p that is gosh .. 10+ years old
in his room.
I had one of those old giant projection TVs years ago that I ended up throwingout in the dumpster about 4 or so years ago. Those used to be
the best thingon the market and I paid at least $2000 for it at the time.
a way to hide A/V Receivers, I'd be a happy camper .. most furniture that is "wife approved" aren't deep enough for my Onkyo nor my Pioneer Elite
.. so it on some corner piece of decorative furniture, tucked sligthly behind a couch. It's not ideal. Our living, space we watch movies within, wouldn't allow for armoires; I can see that being an issue -- we sold a
lot of TV stands as a result and/or wall mount installations.
of them these days, unless epic classics or super hero movies ..) But I dont' currently have a 4k, looking forward to owning one this Christmas. Just waiting for the "real" Black Friday deals to kick in. I was in corporate retail too long to not fall for the "start your shopping early with our pre black friday savings," followed by the ridiculously lower price over black friday weekend where price guarantees do not apply from previous purchases.
