    Hello vk3jed,

What is the status of Retronet and PiNet these days?

I ask because you are the QWK hub if I remember right and someone asked me about that recently and I wasn't really sure. Is Retronet still up and running?

PMFJI, I see Nigel (of End Of The Line BBS) makes it available
    to nntp users.

Looks like there is some modest activity. Sounds like a cool
bunch of retro heads in there.

I was connected to Retronet for a time by QWK. I lost that by my playing around
with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. It was active when I was there and it was a cool net that Necromaster set up.

I can't seem to connect to necrobbs.strangled.net ATM so I wonder if there have
been changes recently that I need to keep up with?

If you'd like, I can get you set up here via FTN. I'm a hub for Retronet.

The traffic isn't too bad. It's not up to fsxNet standards, but not too bad.
    :)

Cool.. is Carlos still around there? He's a cool BBSer I haven't seen around much lately and I hope he is doing OK.

hit-or-miss lately. Last time I chatted with him, he was doing fine.

If you know Linux, you'll be fairly right with the Pi. I only have piNET on FTN here, I can't recall if they offer QWK. Obviously, I can offer it, if given permission.
