Hmm what image to use for an fsxNet favicon?

The logo doesn't really translate very well to a 300 x 300 box.

Yep :) Messing with DNS at the moment. Hopefully it will all work in the
    coming hours.

How about just use the FSX part.

Yep, that's exactly what I did. Great minds huh? :)

I've started work on a new version of a website for the network and working
to move off a single page hosted things on GitHub for fsxnet.nz

Hopefully some DNS A record changes will make their way around the globe in
    the coming hours.

The site is a work in progress.

I'm seeing the new site here in England.

It's complaining about the SSL certificate being from your personal site and not fsxnet.nz - I'm sure youve noticed this though.

Really like the look and feel! How exciting!

    Thanks :)

Yes I am now asking my web host if they will issue a cert as part of my
hosting plan or if they would support installing a Lets Encrypt cert... I'm just waiting to hear back.

If it becomes an issue I'll likely re-do the site without https for now just

It was also due to the secondary dns server changing ip's at the same time, and Avon not having adjusted his configs.

If I'd known he was going to do that the old secondary would have been left running for a short time.

If facebook can fuck up their DNS (by accidentally killing all routes to their global network and locking out their own employees from internal apps and offices), so can we ;).

But the single "point of failure" was more referring to the fact that all hubs are listed with their fsxnet.nz domain. There is more than can go wrong with a domain name than non-reachable nameservers: zone file misconfiguration, registration/renewal problems, ...

And net[2-5].fsxnet.nz are only CNAMEs, so it's also an additional point of failure.

May I suggest that we add the original domain (CNAME) in the NODELIST? Like:

    ....,INA:net4.fsxnet.nz,INA:bbs.castlerockbbs.com,...
