We were an IT department of 9 and now we're 2. The rest
of the office was gutted as well, almost 70 jobs lost in
the middle of this pandemic and shake ups on the plant
side as well, though not as bad.
So my new project for the next while will be relocating
the server room from head office into the plant. This
will no doubt take me away for a bit, though I'm not sure
how soon we'll be starting. From what I understand
they'll want us out of the space by the end of October
which is rather ambitious.
Not really sure why I'm typing this, but thanks for reading.

It was announced today that we'll be moving out of the office we're in
and consolidating into the factory area. This only makes sense as we don't need that much space with so few people.
Wow, man, that really sucks. As an American, I'm really sorry. We've gotHope it was not a Private Equity Firm, they like to swallow companies and eat them up and make money.

How much equipment and wiring are you talking about?
Hopefully it won't be one of those situations where 1 screw
goes missing at assembly time.

Hey Everyone,
As some of you may know from my previous ramblings, the company I work
for was sold to a US company. We're the first Canadian company they've purchased (so far).
I've been through this before in a previous life & I'm surprised to see how similar everything is going through this acquisition. It's almost like there's a playbook that companies follow. "Business as Usual: A guide to progressive assimilation"

I'm thankful that out of all of the people that were cut, I got to keep
my job (so far). I really wouldn't want to be out there looking for a
job right now.
